Guerrilla Games has unleashed a new story trailer for Horizon: Forbidden West that teases Sylens' undoubtedly sinister plans. Sylens played a key part in Horizon Zero Dawn's events, acting as a curious researcher who guided Aloy in her journey throughout much of the experience. By the end, however, it was clear the former had ulterior motives he wasn't too keen on sharing with the rest of the class. What that may mean for Forbidden West in the long run presently remains a mystery.
The latest story teaser for the sequel doesn't mark the first confirmation of Sylens' return. Given the interest he showed in the antagonistic HADES AI at the end of Horizon Zero Dawn, it seems safe to assume that Sylens' intentions in Forbidden West won't be considered good.
