In Horizon Forbidden West, Aloy sports a device by her ear which allows the player to a resource known as «focus» on certain aspects of the game. Focus will reveal crucial items in Horizon Forbidden West like plants, enemies, chests, and even hints if the player is unsure of where to go. Players can use focus for a short amount of time in your local vicinity. However, many players have resorted to spamming the button when they are trying to find loot. Not only is this annoying, it can also become tiresome and impractical.

Reddit user AbusedBanana1 pointed out in a post on the Horizon Forbidden West subreddit that players should go to the Custom HUD Settings tab in the menu and turn on «Interaction Markers».
