Guerrilla Games has released yet another update for Horizon Forbidden West, with patch 1.08 placing a major focus on continuously reported issues from players.
As usual, the developer shared the patch notes on Reddit and started out by prefacing the already known issues that the team is still looking into. These include graphical issues regarding shimmering, sharpening, and screen saturation; fast travel bugs, and a problem receiving the reward for completing the Black Box Collectibles activity.

Now Playing: Horizon Forbidden West Review
For fixes and improvements, the long list addresses everything from main quests and side quests, world activities, performance and stability, and other miscellaneous problems. Most notably, it looks like Guerrilla has fixed the multiple crash issues that were plaguing players' games, as well as performed some maintenance on the in-game cinematics, unintentional loading screens--which were mentioned to be in progress in patch 1.07--and visual popping.
An assortment of graphical bugs have also been addressed, including an issue where Aloy's attire wouldn't appear wet anymore after being in water and an issue where Photo mode controls would freeze after initiating a swan dive. The previously known issue of the NPC movement animation bug in settlements has finally been fixed, with the developer also introducing some balancing changes to weapons and enemies.
