Actor Sam Richardson teases the “incredible” comeback of the Sanderson sisters in the upcoming Hocus Pocus 2. The comedy character-actor has appeared in films such as We’re The Millers, Spy, and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. On the small screen, he played recurring roles in comedy series Veep and Detroiters, starred in The Afterparty season 1, and has also led his voice talents to Star Trek: Lower Decks and Marvel’s MODOK.
Next up, Richardson has joined the ensemble cast of the highly anticipated Hocus Pocus 2. The film is a sequel to the original 1993 Halloween classic, which respectively starred Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Bette Midler as the witch sisters Sarah, Mary, and Winifred Sanderson. All three are set to return to their roles in the new movie, which is heading to Disney+ later this year. Also returning after the near 30-year wait is Doug Jones, who played Billy Butcherson, an ex-boyfriend revived by the witches as a zombie. New cast members include Ted Lasso’s Hannah Waddingham and Richardson’s fellow-Veep alum Tony Hale.
