High on Life is an upcoming sci-fi first-person shooter title from Squanch Games, a development studio founded by Rick and Morty's Justin Roiland. The game was first unveiled at this year's Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase held at the Summer Game Fest in June. Since then, more and more details on High on Life have been unveiled, as the game approaches its release date set for later this year. At Gamescom 2022, for example, High on Life has shown off more gameplay, and the development team has also discussed future plans.
High on Life is a bizarre FPS slated for release this December, and Executive Producer Matty Studivan recently revealed that the team had even been working on some DLC ideas for the game. According to Studivan, the studio has already brainstormed ideas for High on Life's post-launch content, which will include bug fixes as well as some additional content that didn't quite make the game's original cut. This support post-launch will also include some DLC for High on Life, but Studivan didn't go into too much detail on what that could look like.

He did discuss the studio's previous title, Trover Saves the Universe, which was a sci-fi, VR game, featuring that famous style of comedy one could expect from one of the creators of Rick and Morty. «With Trover,» Studivan said, «we supported it for a really long time… And so I think we want to do the same with High on Life.» Even months before High on Life's recently delayed release date, the team is already discussing DLC plans, which for some, may seem a bit early.
