As the community continues to fight in Super Earth's galactic war, one dedicated play has envisioned a simple yet effective solution to one of the game's persistent problems: Supply lines. While Arrowhead Studios does an excellent job of introducing mechanics and concepts to players, one aspect that isn't clarified when starting up the game is how interplanetary travel works. Fortunately, with such a committed player base, it didn't take long for players to learn about supply lines but despite the discovery, many are still unclear on how they actually work.
That's what prompted Reddit user TheKrzysiek to share their idea on how to fix the situation: A series of moving arrows that connect the planets on the galaxy map and further indicate what routes can be traveled if the territory is under Helldiver control.
This allows the community to better analyze routes through the sector by prioritizing which planets need to be captured to ultimately reach any final destination specified in a Major Order. The idea has received plenty of positive feedback, earning over 4,000 upvotes with many asking that TheKrzysiek officially request that Arrowhead Studios add the feature.
Although it's never explicitly spelled out, supply lines are one of the core factors in determining how effective Helldivers are when it comes to conquering the galaxy. Usually depicted as a web, supply lines function as a network that connects every planet and both enables and disables travel between different sectors. In order to access a planet, players must first liberate any locations that may be connected to it via a supply line, meaning collective strategy is required in order to reach an objective.
When initially launched, players simply went about battling across any planet they could access but as Arrowhead Studios has begun providing more specific mission goals, supply lines have become a necessity. The community is now constantly discussing which planet needs to be liberated next if they're to be
