Pokémon Go players are beginning to tire of continually catching Pidgeys and Rattatas and are leaving the augmented reality app in droves.
Figures show the craze peaked in mid-July when an estimated 45 million users feverishly attempted to collect the virtual monsters.
But there are now around 30 million users – a massive drop in a short amount of time, according to Axoim Capital management.
"Given the rapid rise in usage of the Pokémon Go app since the launch in July, investors have been concerned this new user experience has been detracting from time spent on other mobile-focused apps," Senior Analyst Victor Anthony told Bloomberg.
He said investors and executives at the likes of Facebook and Snapchat, for example, can breathe a sigh of relief, because the number of active Pokémon Go players is declining, as well as the time they are spending playing the game, according to data from Sensor Tower, SurveyMonkey and Apptopia.
