1-Minute Read: As the popular notion goes, nobody likes Mondays! And now, the official Twitter account of Guinness World Records has joined the list of those who hate the first day of the week. Voicing its displeasure in a tweet on Monday (no surprises there), October 17, the organization, which officially denotes world records both of human achievements and the extremes of the natural world, has claimed that Monday is the worst day of the week. In its now viral tweet, Guinness World Records said, “we're officially giving monday the record of the worst day of the week”. The sentiment has synced with the feelings of millions of people world wide. As Monday is the first day of the week when people go to work, school and college after two fun-filled days of the weekend, the tweet has resonated with a multitude of the netizens.
But while many have described the day as ‘Monday Blues' and ‘No fun-day', probably nobody in their official capacity has dared to make such a bold claim calling the day ‘the worst day of the week'. As a result, this move by the world record book has received 412K likes, 76.9K retweets and 9835 Quote retweets at the time of writing this. The tweet has also garnered 5,707 comments.
