Little is known about what may occur in BioWare’s newest Mass Effect game. Its announcement left a lot to the imagination, though it did seemingly confirm Liara T’Soni’s importance and presence and an inarguable connection to the original trilogy as a result.
Since this untitled Mass Effect sequel’s announcement, rumors and speculation have been relatively quiet. The reveal of an official poster for the new Mass Effect allegedly contains surprises for fans to dig into, with many fans perceiving a Geth in the crater’s environmental focal point. It will likely be awhile before anything else of meaningful impact will be shared about content from the game itself, but BioWare has recently revealed a new name being brought aboard to work on the untitled Mass Effect installment that should excite fans about its narrative potential.

BioWare Project Director Michael Gamble, who is also team lead on the upcoming Mass Effect game, has announced Mary DeMarle is “joining the Mass Effect team” as a Senior Narrative Director. DeMarle most recently won the 2022 Game Award for Best Narrative for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy while she worked as an Executive Narrative Director at Eidos-Montreal. Before her work on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, DeMarle was also a Narrative Director, Lead Writer, and Narrative Designer on Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
It was announced recently that DeMarle was added to BioWare's ranks and this role reveal should mean a lot to fans since her achievements and career are exceptional.
