Since its initial release, Grand Theft Auto 5 has been an outstanding success for Rockstar Games. Sony players were even more excited when the title was announced to be coming to PS5 in the future, along with Microsoft confirming it would come to Xbox Series X/S at the same time as well.
There has been plenty of love for Grand Theft Auto 5 since its launch, as players have commended Rockstar for expanding the lengths of what can be done in an open-world title, and expressed their love for the stories of Michael, Trevor, and Franklin, the latter of whom took center stage in the recent DLC story for GTA Online. And now, Rockstar has pulled back the curtain on new details regarding GTA 5’s transition to next-generation consoles. In a post on the community website, Rockstar laid out details regarding the future of both Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online once the game’s launched on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. This came along with the confirmation that the remastered versions would be releasing on March 15.
Both GTA 5 and GTA Online are being graphically updated for the next-gen consoles, running at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, and utilizing the SSD capabilities of the new consoles to create faster loading times.
