Now that the World’s Greatest Detective is purportedly deceased in Gotham Knights, the remaining Bat Family colleagues must assemble in his absence. Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, and Red Hood are all superbly trained combatants and operatives and continue to receive guidance from Alfred Pennyworth.
Each of Gotham Knights’ playable protagonists is unique, and it will be interesting to learn more about how their authentic backstories influence their character development in the game’s narrative events. However, not much has been clearly defined about Gotham Knights’ Bat Family besides Barbara Gordon’s Batgirl, who fans know was previously Oracle. In a recent reveal from Gotham Knights, even more insight has been shed for Barbara that may allude to important story beats.
Gotham Knights Character Spotlight Shares New Batgirl Gameplay
Gotham Knights has released what looks like in-game images that show Barbara interacting with a custom diorama. It appears as if Barbara herself has constructed this diorama in the Belfry in an effort to recreate the scene of a crime. In this particular crime scene of what looks like a house or apartment, an individual in the form of a miniature figurine is pinned to a wall with several bladed instruments piercing through him. Interestingly, Barbara even has a miniature of her father, Police Commissioner Jim Gordon, as he surveys the murder scene.
This is certainly an odd and macabre way to reexamine a crime scene, especially with her dead father involved. But it all the while demonstrates that Barbara is incredibly detail-oriented when it comes to detective work, having worked as Oracle for an undetermined time.
