Gotham Knights Reportedly Pulled From Sale In Russia, Language Options Scrapped
Gotham Knights is a forthcoming open-world action title from Batman: Arkham Origins-developer WB Games Montreal. Set for release in October on current-gen consoles and PC, it now seems Gotham Knights won't be available for sale in Russian territories.
According to sources speaking to The Happy Warrior, via VGC, Warners Bros has chosen to pull the game from sale in Russia territories. In addition, the Russian localisation featuring Russian language subtitles and voiceovers has also been cancelled owing to the political situation from leader Vladimir Putin's decision to invade Ukraine.

Since March, rumours have trailed the game over its Russian version, and development for this localisation was apparently ongoing even a week before the invasion. But now it appears to be confirmed as the Russian version of the official website for Gotham Knights returns a 404 error when visited. Meanwhile, Gotham Knights' Steam page does not list Russian under the languages it will support.
If the Russian version of Gotham Knights has been cancelled, Warner Bros will be the latest publisher to sanction Russia, following similar actions by other games companies, over its invasion of Ukraine.
Recently, Gotham Knights also came under fire for an ableist trope in the characterisation of Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl. Creative director Patrick Redding eventually addressed the concerns, in a Q&A on Discord.
