Gotham Knights, the upcoming superhero game from WB Games Montreal may be getting a four-player co-op mode according to an updated listing for the game.
As spotted by a Reddit user, according to the game’s recently updated PlayStation store page, the game seemingly offers support for “4 network players”.
However, it’s worth noting that the game’s description still invites players to “Patrol Gotham’s five distinct boroughs in solo-play or with one other hero”.
It had previously been announced that the game could be playable by two players, however, the ability to play as all four characters; Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood and Batgirl, may have been added to the game.
The game is expected to appear at Summer Game Fest following its inclusion in a trailer for the event.
Gotham Knights is being developed by WB Games Montreal and led by creative director Patrick Redding, who previously directed Splinter Cell titles Conviction and Blacklist.
Initially planned for release last year, Gotham Knights was delayed to 2022 to provide “more time to deliver the best possible experience for players”.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which was originally scheduled to be released this year, will now launch in 2023.
Developed by Batman: Arkham series creator Rocksteady Studios, the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC game is billed as a “genre-bending action-adventure shooter” set in an open-world Metropolis.
Suicide Squad was announced alongside Gotham Knights at 2020’s DC Fandome event and its first gameplay trailer was released in December 2021.
