The Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, both of which were Google’s first affordable Pixel phones for the Indian market, are now ending their software support. In fact, Google is ending the support on May 2022 for these phones. These phones have outlasted the Pixel 3 flagships, a phone which was superior in many ways. Google has also updated the details regarding all the new fixes and features that will be delivered to the phone as its last software update.
The Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are no more sold in India. However, Google had promised the updates for three years, and after three years since its launch in 2022, the support is ending. “In May 2019, at the launch of the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, we announced that the devices would receive three years of software updates and three years of security updates from when our devices first became available on the Google Store. The final update for Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will roll out to users by July 2022,” said Google in a statement to 9To5Google.
The latest software update will fix the display and launcher issues for all Pixel phones including the Pixel 3a, and also update the security patch to May 2022. That will be it, the last of updates for the Pixel 3a.
