God of War Ragnarok is one of the most anticipated titles coming to PlayStation consoles this fall and player expectations continue to grow every week leading to launch. As November approaches, God of War fans eagerly await another look into gameplay and new features of the upcoming sequel. Fortunately, a new gameplay video was released to showcase a brand-new level in God of War Ragnarok.
Game Informer released a new gameplay video for God of War Ragnarok focusing on the new level, Svartalfheim. Svartalfheim, also known as Nidavellir, is the Dwarven homeland in Norse mythology and one of the Nine Realms of the World Tree, Yggdrasil. Odin originally barred access to the remaining realms, but Kratos and Atreus will finally venture into all nine realms in God of War Ragnarok. The father and son duo will use many abilities in their toolset to traverse ancient Dwarven territory.

Game Informer's Svartalfheim gameplay video shows Kratos and Atreus sailing into the realm with Mimir. Svartalfheim is vast with technical marvels, sprawling cities, manmade water channels, and intricate puzzles in God of War Ragnarok. Players must use Kratos' elemental powers to navigate the ruins, create new paths, and solve the aforementioned puzzles. Kratos uses his Leviathan axe to freeze a geyser and advance across a newly made path in the gameplay video. Kratos may also dismantle objects such as large Dwarven pots with his signature Blades of Chaos by pressing the circle button.
Atreus assists Kratos in his Svartalfheim exploits both in and out of combat. For instance, Kratos may command Atreus to interact with out-of-reach devices. Lead level designer James Riding and level designer Jon
