Few if any games are as highly anticipated as Sony Santa Monica's sequel to the 2018 action-adventure game God of War. God of War: Ragnarok has been looked forward to ever since God of War ended on a cliffhanger, with the added benefit of being launched on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. However, there's now an additional party looking forward to God of War: Ragnarok. The recent release of God of War on PC has PC gamers hungry for the sequelm though that may not be happening anytime soon.
Speaking with Game Informer, God of War director Cory Barlog had no good news to share with PC gamers. Asked whether PlayStation and Sony Santa Monica Studio had any plans to bring God of War: Ragnarok faster than the four years it took to port the first game, Barlog said he had "no idea." It's technically not a no, but it's not what PC fans of God of War likely want to hear right now.

According to Barlog, Sony is currently "taking it one game at a time," assumedly referring to Sony's slow rollout of PC ports over time. He mentions how each game is evaluated on how well it does and whether people enjoyed it or not. Obviously, it can be assumed God of War: Ragnarok is going to be received well. It's odd that Barlog would mention that in the context of the possibility of a PC port, but that's how he characterizes the situation, regardless.
The last that Barlog says on the matter is that it's ultimately up to Sony whether God of War: Ragnarok is brought to PC and how long that will take. Looking at the previous PlayStation exclusives that Sony has brought to PC, Sony clearly takes its time porting its games over, and there's little that can be done to rush them.
