Brawl Stars is diving into the world of Bikini Bottom with an upcoming SpongeBob season. Can you imagine? SpongeBob and friends as brawlers? Sounds like fun already! Well, the latest Brawl Talk gave the details of this collab as well as other changes in the upcoming update.
The event is starting on September 5th and running until October 2nd. The crossover has everything you’d expect (or wouldn’t), from skins and new game modes to new power-ups.
The first new game mode is Jellyfishing, a 3v3 showdown where the goal is to catch jellyfish. You get to hold onto them for five seconds, but if you get taken down, you drop your catch. Then there’s Trio Showdown with three players per team. With 12 players and 4 teams, this mode lets you revive as long as one of your teammates is still standing.
Now, let’s talk about the new brawlers. You can snag Moe on August 29th. He’s a blind rat who lives in the sewers and has amazing digging skills. And when he’s not busy maintaining tunnels, he’s hurling stones at enemies. His Super lets him jump into a custom-built digging machine and tear across the map. You can snag his Monterey Moe Skin for just 29 Gems.
Then, Kenji is the other new brawler arriving on September 26th. He’s a samurai-turned-sushi chef with great slicing skills. With alternating attack patterns, he slashes his way through enemies in no time. He’ll be rocking the fruit Samurai skin.
The Brawl Stars x SpongeBob season is packed with themed skins and a special currency called Krusty Kash. You’ll find SpongeBob El Primo, Patrick Buzz, Squidward Mortis, Sandy Jessie, Mr. Krabs Ticks and Plankton Darryl.
As for the power-ups, you get Krabby Patties that orbit around you to a Clarinet attack powered by Squidward’s “beautiful” music. And there’s a whole upgrade system to make these power-ups even stronger. You can check out more about it in September’s Brawl Talk video!
To get your hands on the power-ups, you’ll need to collect Krusty Kash. You can earn them by winning
