Ghostwire: Tokyo will be released on March 25, 2022, according to PlayStation’s YouTube channel.
The channel is set to air a ‘Ghostwire: Tokyo – Official Showcase’ on Thursday, and the video description also includes details of an early access offer and pre-order bonus content.
Players who purchase the Ghostwire: Tokyo Deluxe Edition digitally will be granted three days of early access to the game plus the following bonus content: Shinobi Outfit, Kunai Weapon and Streetwear Fashion Pack.
A PlayStation Store listing for the game spotted last month also listed a late March release date for the action horror title, which is in development at Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami’s Tango Gameworks.
Publisher Bethesda originally planned to release the game for PS5 and PC last year, but in the summer it was delayed to “early 2022”.
“In an instant, nearly all of Tokyo’s population vanishes and paranormal Visitors from another world take their place in the streets,” reads a blurb for the game.
“As Akito, one of the city’s last living humans, you must join forces with a spirit named KK to put an end to the supernatural threat encroaching on Tokyo.”
Microsoft acquired Tango’s parent company Bethesda last year and an Xbox console version of Ghostwire: Tokyo is expected to be released in 2023.
