Ghostwire: Tokyo has a ton of neat side quests to do in between the main story missions. Not only are there plenty of these side quests to keep the player busy, there are also tons of collectibles hidden around just waiting to be found.
In Ghostwire: Tokyo, one of the early side quests the player will inevitably stumble on is the Tanuki Hunt side quest, which finds a humble and adorable Tanuki leader trying to find his pack and get them all back together. This side quest will have the player hunting down hidden Tanukis that have concealed themselves for protection. Every shrine will have a certain number of Tanukis in the area to find, and there are a few strategies available to help find the elusive buggers quicker. The following will aid the player in finding the Tanuki that is located in the Namita shrine location.
There are two key methods (other than just stumbling upon them) that can make it easier for players to find Tanukis. First, the player is able to spot these furry fellows simply by using the spirit vision. It will produce a highlight of the object that the Tanuki is disguised as, and the player can identify them by the tail swinging from its behind. All Tanuki can be found in this manner, by simply locating an object with a tail.

Another way to find Tanukis is by reading the thoughts of dogs and cats. These furry friends will provide the player clues as to the whereabouts of a nearby Tanuki (if applicable) or will provide some other random tidbit of information otherwise.
