Ghostwire: Tokyo players will unlock side missions after cleansing Namita Shrine during the «A Maze of Death» main story mission in the game's second chapter. There are 42 side missions in total, though players will only have access to two of them right away. The first of these is called «Deep Cleansing» and requires players to investigate a water-related mystery in order to lay a restless spirit to rest.
Ghostwire: Tokyo — How Long to Beat?
As players will soon discover, side missions in Ghostwire: Tokyo are marked on the map by green circular icons. The one for «Deep Cleansing» is relatively close to Namita Shrine, so, after cleansing the rooftop Tori Gate there, players should make their way back down to ground level and head towards the green map marker for «Deep Cleansing,» which is to the southwest of their current location.
Upon arriving in the area with the map marker, players will find themselves outside a building with a lot of Crystallized Ether nearby. After heading inside, they should check the area near the door for some consumable items and absorbable spirits before making their way upstairs. Through the door to their right, players will find the spirit of an old man concerned about water and should speak with him to begin the quest.
After talking to the old man, KK and Akito will deduce that they need to find a place where water is pooling, which means heading back outside. Thankfully, finding such a place is relatively straightforward, as the map marker updates to guide players northwest towards a nearby bathhouse.
