Despite the new 5-star DPS characters getting released left and right in Genshin Impact, Diluc remains as the gold standard for damage dealing. That's because he's the simplest and most unconditional damage dealer in the game. Still, that doesn't mean players can just let him be as is and expect six digits of damage or more. One has to pair him with the appropriate support.
For Diluc, there are only two options when it comes to dealing damage: Melt or Vaporize elemental reactions. The former lets him deal 2x the damage while the latter is 1.5x. Paired with his Dawn (Elemental Burst) and Searing Onslaught (Elemental Skill), Diluc can easily deal hundreds of thousands of damage in a few seconds.
