The official livestream event for Genshin Impact 2.8 has officially confirmed the arrival of a new major region named Sumeru. The game's official story revealed that Sumeru could be divided into two main parts: forests and deserts.

Mounts have been one of the main topics in the community since the game launched back in 2020, however, it's highly unlikely that they will make their way to the game anytime soon. When it comes to new characters, the game's official social media accounts have already confirmed three new additions to Genshin Impact's playable roster: Tighnari, Collei, and Dori.
