The open-world action RPG Genshin Impact invites gamers into the fantastical world of Teyvat, where magic and the mundane collide in a variety of interesting ways. Players are able to scale mountains, fight monsters, explore towns, or simply run around interacting with the inhabitants of Teyvat. One Genshin Impact player recently combined the daily life and fantasy battle elements when they discovered it was possible to apply debuffs to cats.
Genshin Impact features a variety of pets that can be discovered throughout all the game's available regions. They can't be killed for food and may have associated quests that require the player to recover a lost pet. Some of Genshin Impact's cats have additional quests, a list that includes Neko, the self-proclaimed Provisional Head Priestess at Asase Shrine.
Genshin Impact Glitch Leads to Incredible Photo Opportunity
Reddit user my_ana recently shared a short video of themself playing as the Anemo Catalyst character Sucrose that depicted them using magic on a nearby cat. In the clip, Sucrose uses what appears to be her Astable Anemohypostasis Creation — 6308 skill to apply a debuff to the animal. The skill doesn't appear to do any damage, but the cat is briefly tossed into the air by the AOE effects. However, the animal quickly lands on its feet and doesn't appear to be overly upset by the rough treatment.
According to my_ana, this debuff increases the cat's vulnerability to the Hydro element, which fans may find fitting given that cats are notorious for disliking water. Other users noted that it's possible to drown a pet in Genshin Impact, but the animal may or may not respawn.
