Genshin Impact Leak Hints at Anime Plot Details
A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more details about the upcoming anime adaptation that was officially announced during the 3.1 Special Program. The anime is a result of the collaboration between developer HoYoverse and Ufotable, which is the animation studio responsible for popular series like Demon Slayer and Fate.
A big part of the Genshin Impact community has been asking for an anime adaptation of the game for a very long time, claiming that all HoYoverse has to do is focus on the same aspects that made the game so popular. With a unique character and world design that has attracted millions of players since the game arrived back in 2020, the bar seems to be pretty high, at least in terms of the story and animation.

A new post on the popular Genshin Impact leaks subreddit has given more details about the anime plot. According to the leak, the show's timeline will feature the world of Teyvat before the arrival of Genshin Impact's main characters, Aether and Lumine. One of the main topics of the anime will be the legendary Archon War, an era of various power struggles between gods thousands of years ago. The anime will apparently feature one season for each major region of the game. However, the leaker did not specify how many episodes will be released per season or anything about the duration of each episode.
The leak has also revealed that the project has been in development for 18 months and three out of 12 episodes that will feature the popular Mondstadt region have already been completed. The show will apparently have incredible visual effects, which does not come as a surprise considering that the game is known for its anime-inspired features.
