The Reddit thread shows a conversation between a fan and a credible leaker who claims that Version 2.7 will be shorter compared to HoYoverse's usual updates. The move makes sense considering that in order to go back to their usual release dates, the upcoming update will need to be shorter because 2.6 has been prolonged.
This is especially important if HoYoverse wants their summer events to arrive later than expected. Like any other developer, HoYoverse plans their events ahead of time considering that a lot of them are tied to various holidays. Players are hoping that those plans could include a big anniversary event at the end of September. With the whole Inazuma arc coming to an end, multiple leaks have confirmed that a new main Genshin Impact region is just around the corner.
