Gameloft will officially launch its free to play Aion Classic server in Europe on April 12th.
Initially, launch was announced for early 2023, but now we have a final release date for the new permanent classic server. This means those who’ve been waiting to return to Atreia for a fresh start in a familiar setting will be able to get started in just two weeks.
Featuring the classic quest content, dungeons, and of course, battles, the new permanent classic server will feature some refreshes. Aion Classic will begin with version 1.9, but those refreshes mean that there will be smoother performance, better balance, and some bug fixes. This version will also incorporate earlier content and continue to receive updates that will get it closer to the South Korean Aion Classic server.
You'll be able to enjoy PVE content up to level 50 on a number of maps that Aion players should be familiar with, and there is robust PVP content available as well. You’ll be able to choose your class and specializations, grow your characters, and choose the side you’ll fight on in the long war between the Asomodians and Elyos. One of the most notable features of the franchise is, of course, flying combat, so this will also be a key part of the Classic server. Battle in the Abyss and work to change and bring balance to the world after the Cataclysm.
The launch date announcement for this European Aion Classic server was accompanied by a new trailer to tease the release a little more. Gameloft has also announced a livestream to come sometime later in the week. They’ll announce full details later, along with full release notes for Aion Classic to detail everything to expect for the new launch.
