Game Pass Confirms New Day One Game for April 2023
A previously announced Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass release has confirmed its launch details as part of the recent IGN Fan Fest 2023 event. That means that PC Game Pass subscribers will be receiving one more game in April, with Xbox Game Pass subscribers to follow at a later date. For PC Game Pass subscribers looking for a new game to carry them through spring, this April release will be worth watching out for.
April is currently a very thin month for Xbox and PC Game Pass. That isn't abnormal, though, because Xbox prefers to announce most games coming to its subscription service just weeks, if not days before they arrive on the platform. It allows the service some flexibility to make deals quickly or to react to scheduling changes. For now, April's only other confirmed Game Pass release is Minecraft Legends, which means the latest addition to April should be able to draw some extra attention as a result.

Newly confirmed for April's PC Game Pass is Homestead Arcana, a fantasy farming game from Serenity Forge, developer of Half Past Fate, The King's Bird, and Date Night Bowling. Serenity Forge is partnering with publisher Skybound Entertainment for Homestead Arcana, allowing the developer to create one of its most ambitious projects yet.
Homestead Arcana's latest trailer debuted during the IGN Fan Fest 2023 event on Friday. At the end of the trailer a message reading «Coming April 2023» flashed on-screen, along with the Steam and Game Pass logos.
