HBO Max has finally revealed the premiere date for House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel series that fans have been waiting on for quite some time. Sharing a new poster for the series on its social media channels, the streaming service confirmed that the show will premiere on August 21, 2022. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the upcoming series will also air on Sundays.
The news was also shared on the official Twitter page for House of the Dragon, the 10-episode series that is based on author George R.R. Martin's 2018 novel Fire & Blood. The series will narrate the story of House Targaryen, and it is already known that it will be set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. However, the latest poster forms an immediate connection to the original series, which fans are bound to appreciate.
