Developer Cyberconnect2 has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming strategy sequel Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2. The anthropomorphic/steampunk RPG will bring its epic, turn-based action to PlayStation, PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms at some point in 2023.
The sequel to 2021’s highly rated Fuga: Melodies of Steel and the fifth release in Cyberconnect2’s Little Tail Bronx franchise, Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 will see our band of survivors continue their voyage aboard the rickety but technologically adept battle tank — Taranis. Set against the thinly veiled backdrop of an alternate World War II, Fuga: Melodies of Steel blended turn-based action with high melodrama and a storyline of loss, sacrifice, and redemption. Themes that are expected to carry into the new sequel.
While the developer has not offered too much in the way of information regarding the sequel’s mechanics, Fuga 2 promises to boast a boosted and improved battle system, stronger strategy elements, and a brand new, choice-based storyline that will leave players with a roused spirit, a broken heart, and an empowered soul. My words, not theirs. I should probably note that. While understandably niche, the first release was a real hit with the fan community, who will no doubt receive today’s sequel reveal with much joy. Fire up the Soul Cannon… Who is the ammunition this time around..?
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 will launch in 2023 on PlayStation, PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. The original game is available to purchase right meow on all aforementioned platforms.
