2022 is set to be one of the biggest months for PlayStation Plus in history with the introduction of the new Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers. In June, Sony is planning to shake up the service by adding hundreds of recent and classic titles through these new tiers, in turn making it a new competitor to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Many players will likely stick with PlayStation Plus Essential, however, and after revealing this month's lineup earlier this week, the file sizes for each game coming to the basic tier have also been revealed.
Earlier this week, Sony revealed that God of War, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will be the free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers in June. These titles are arriving just as the service introduces two new higher tiers that add a host of PS4 and PS5 games through the PS Plus Extra tier, and even classic titles from the PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS3 eras through the PS Plus Premium tier. The PS4 and PS5 libraries will include hits such as Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Death Stranding: Director's Cut, Ghost of Tsushima, and Returnal, while the classics library will include the likes of Ape Escape, Jak and Daxter, and the original Demon's Souls.
