Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe is developing a reboot of Cartoon Network's Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends with original creator Craig McCracken. Over a decade since the series ended in 2009, more stories are to come, with the characters set to be a part of the new legacy at the studio.
Sam Register, President of Cartoon Network Studios, Warner Bros. Animation, and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, has announced that Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends will return as an original preschool animated series. While it's unclear if original characters like Mac and Bloo will return, Register said the reboot will be «welcoming a new cast of preschool-aged imaginary friends» that will be «just as silly and playful as the original bunch.» In addition to original creator Craig McCracken's return as creator, producer, and director, Sarah Fell, VP, Original Kids and Family Animation, Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, will oversee the project's development at the studio.
