Freddy Fazbear is the face of , and as a consequence an incarnation of the bear animatronic attempts to kill the player in most entries in the franchise. However, when exploring the lore of in detail, Freddy’s character quickly becomes more complex, which can easily give rise to misconceptions about his true nature. With none of the other characters in the games having quite the same staying power as Freddy, full comprehension of its titular character is evidently crucial to understanding the series.
Fazbear Entertainment’s iconic (and generally murderous) animatronics have been seen designed in a variety of styles over the years. The original animatronics were simply animals, but later additions have seen other incarnations of both the same and new characters to match a variety of themes. For example, introduced the Toy animatronics, the circus-themed Funtime Animatronics, and most recently, presented players with the retro Glamrock Animatronics.
