Last weekend saw the first of Coachella's two weekends, as pretty much every celebrity in the world's Instagram feed reminds us. The California festival was headlined by Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Swedish House Mafia, and The Weeknd, with supporting performances by Phoebe Bridgers, Megan Thee Stallion, Kim Petras, Olivia O'Brien, Joji, Brockhampton, Disclosure, Orville Peck, and many more, but that's almost secondary. Coachella might be a music festival, but it can often feel more like an interactive selfie backdrop with optional music playing in the background - especially for the VIPs with their private pools. Anyway, Aerith is clearly the flower queen of the video game space, and so is a perfect fit for Coachella's au natural vibes. Aerith's job as a flower seller, her deep connection with nature, and the fact flowers play a key symbolic role throughout Final Fantasy 7 make her the obvious choice as flower queen. Just don't expect to see her walking around in her underwear like Chloe Cherry or Bretman Rock. Sabrina Carpenter, Peyton List, and Kathryn Newton seem more her speed.
