The Final Fantasy 35th anniversary website is live — and it features a tease about upcoming new games that have yet to be announced. The Final Fantasy franchise turns 35 in 2022 and Square Enix has lots of games in the pipeline to celebrate the anniversary.
The Final Fantasy series has cemented itself as one of the biggest franchises in video game history and the past few years have been especially good for longtime fans. FF7 Remake offered a new take on one of the most iconic games in the franchise, helping to introduce millions of gamers around the world to Avalanche's struggle with the Shinra Corporation. Square Enix hasn't just been resting on its laurels, however, as FF14: Endwalker was one of the most highly-acclaimed games of 2022. The final chapter in the story that began in A Realm Reborn was so popular that the servers could barely handle the influx of players.

Square Enix has created a Final Fantasy 35th Anniversary website (via Nibellion on Twitter), which is already teasing potential new and unannounced games in the series. The website will collect all of the announcements in one place, ahead of the official anniversary on December 18. A message from FF7 Remake producer Yoshinori Kitase confirms new games will be revealed, writing: "The FF 35th site will support new releases, sharing info on upcoming titles and merchandise." Along with this, the website itself also references potential unannounced Final Fantasy games, noting: "We will be bringing you many exciting new ways to enjoy the worlds of FINAL FANTASY.
