If you've always wished that Cloud could shoot a gun, I've got good news for you. Final Fantasy 7 The First Soldier is about to release a set of cosmetics that will make you look like one of four Final Fantasy 7 characters.
Only you won't look like the new Remake character models. Instead, these skins will make you look like the old polygonal models from the original PlayStation game.

Announced during today's Final Fantasy 7 25th anniversary celebration, Ateam didn't provide a time frame for when the new cosmetics would release. We did get a promotional image and a screenshot confirming Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and Barrett will return as polygonal skins, as well as Rex XIII and the yellow Chocobo.
The First Soldier's Japanese Twitter account called the polygonal skins a "collaboration" with Final Fantasy 7. Given the fact The First Soldier is just one of many spinoff games from Final Fantasy 7, it feels a bit like a self-collab.
Ateam also didn’t say how you’d get those polygonal skins, so we’ll assume they’ll just be coming to the store for now, although we can hope they’ll be part of a larger 25th-anniversary celebration event.
In the meantime, The First Soldier’s Valentine’s Day event begins today. Mog the Moogle brings a brand-new Valentine’s Day shop and several challenges to complete to unlock limited-time cosmetics with a lovey-dovey feel. Besides the fun new cosmetics, Cactuars will appear in large numbers to drop special items, everyone will enjoy boosted EXP in team matches, and a daily login bonus will run throughout the course of the event, which runs from now until February 16.
