These are alongside the World Cup Icons that were released earlier in the year and the normal Icon cards featuring legends of the game. Fans have had the chance to vote for the 12 best players to be included in the promotion.
World Cup Hero Lionel Messi leads the way after one of the all-time greats finally lifted the ultimate prize in football. The Argentine is rewarded with the joint highest-rated card currently available inwith a staggering 98 rating. Messi's card plays at right-wing and has the maximum 99 dribbling rating along with 98 shooting and 97 passing. He has previously received a card in the World Cup Team of The Tournament.

Three players sit just behind Messi with 97 overall ratings including PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe who is the best player in the promotion. Despite having the lower rating, the French striker has better in-game stats than Messi and that has seen the value of the card sit at over 10 million coins on the transfer market.
Mbappe's default position is a striker and with the maximum 99 pace stat and 98 dribbling he is hard to stop. However, it is a physical stat of 87 which gives him the advantage over his teammate.
