Returning to Final Fantasy XIV, players will get to experience the Hatching-tide event this month. Hatching-tide is the Easter event in the fantasy world of Eorzea. During this seasonal event, players can expect many egg-based puns and rewards to fill the streets of Gridania. And with this event starting immediately after the release of Patch 6.1 for Final Fantasy XIV, players will find plenty of companions to egg-hunt with.
Players hoping into Final Fantasy XIV for the new patch will not want to miss the fun to be had during Hatching-tide. As a seasonal event, the story of the event is considered non-canon to the overall story. However, seasonal events provide limited-time access to various cosmetic rewards. These rewards are usually not earnable in-game after the event, instead showing up a year later on Square Enix's cash shop. These seasonal events usually take only a minimal amount of time for players to complete, time well spent to earn these limited cosmetics.
