Universal Pictures has released a brand new video for the tenth and penultimate installment to the long-running Fast & Furious franchise. It is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 19.
The video introduces Jason Momoa’s villainous Dante Reyes, who is being described as the family’s greatest threat yet. It teases Dante’s motivations to seek revenge against Vin Diesel’s Dom, while also highlighting the unique admiration he developed towards his enemy. It also features behind-the-scenes footage, showing off the similarities between Momoa and his carefree but calculated character.

“Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family have outsmarted, out-nerved and outdriven every foe in their path,” reads the film’s synopsis. “Now, they confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced: A terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past who’s fueled by blood revenge and who is determined to shatter this family and destroy everything — and everyone — that Dom loves, forever.”
The sequel stars Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, John Cena, Jason Statham, and Scott Eastwood, who reprise their respective roles in the film. The tenth installment also features the additions of franchise newcomersJason Momoa (Aquaman), Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), and Alan Ritchson (Reacher).
Fast X is directed by Transporter director Louis Leterrier, who will also return for the series’ final installment. The film is written by Lin and Dan Mazeau, with Lin still attached as a producer.
