Like other games in the series, Fallout: New Vegas features a sizable open world for players to explore populated by all kinds of interesting characters. And also like other games in the Fallout series, Fallout: New Vegas is stuffed to the brink with clever Easter eggs for fans to discover, some of which may go unnoticed by even the game's most dedicated players.
Reddit user Gluttonforcrime recently took to the GamingDetails subreddit to point out an interesting Easter egg found in Fallout: New Vegas that references the real-life crime couple Bonnie and Clyde. Fallout: New Vegas fans may remember the Vikki and Vance Casino located in Primm, with Vikki and Vance obviously meant to be the Fallout universe's versions of Bonnie and Clyde. However, the Easter egg goes beyond the surface similarities between the two criminal couples.

In Fallout: New Vegas, the Vikki and Vance Casino has been robbed by Pauline and Sammy Wins, a post-apocalyptic take on Bonnie and Clyde/Vikki and Vance. They have stashed Vance's gun in a safe, and if Fallout: New Vegasplayers are able to talk Sammy into it, he will give up the combination so they can retrieve the stolen gun. As revealed by Sammy Wins, the safe combination is 05-23-24.
Fallout: New Vegas players that don't bother trying to talk to Sammy Wins may never learn the safe combination, and even those that do learn the safe combination may not realize that it's a deeper reference to Bonnie and Clyde. As it turns out, 05-23-24 is also the date that Bonnie and Clyde died after the two of them were gunned down by Texas Ranger Frank Hamer and his posse.
