Fall Guys is known for its wide span of different wacky courses, filled with all kinds of obstacles for dozens of beans to trip, stumble, and fall through. One oft-rumored course, which had its existence severely in doubt, has finally been confirmed. A Fall Guys leaks channel has revealed gameplay for a Sonic the Hedgehog crossover level.
Mediatonic's lovable battle royale of costumed beans making it past various obstacles finally became available for platforms outside of PlayStation 4 on June 21. Becoming completely free-to-play and available for Switch and Xbox, Fall Guys saw 20 million players in the first 48 hours of its relaunch, demonstrative of just how badly other console owners wanted to play the previously PS4 exclusive title.
Fall Guys Fan Makes Working Controller That Looks Like One of The Game’s Beans
Footage of the unannounced Sonic-themed level comes courtesy of Pancake — Fall Guys Leaks, a YouTube channel dedicated to Fall Guys leaks and data mining. The roughly two-minute video shows gameplay of a level clearly inspired by the SEGA mascot's iconic Green Hill Zone, which is aptly title Bean Hill Zone. The level appears to feature all the hallmarks of the classic level, including the brown-checkered pattern, the bright green grass, and red bumpers. Plenty of conveyor belts, boosts, and looping tubes really drive home the Sonic-like experience.
Later in the video is gameplay with the Sonic franchise's iconic rings, which is the assumed objective that players must complete in order to qualify for the next round. The gameplay shown doesn't allow for the rings to actually be collected, but they still give players an idea of where the collectibles will spawn.
