EA has announced a release date for the next entry into its best-selling Formula 1 racing series, F1 22. The 2022 edition will drop the green flag on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox platforms July 1.
EA Sports F1 22, the official game of the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship season, will feature the brand’s trademark attention-to-detail, highly polished visuals, and tarmac-tearing gameplay, powered by the official teams, drivers, and vehicles of the F1 2022 season. Players can utilize a revamped “My Team” mode to build their F1 career from the ground up — managing finances, customizing cars, hosting events, and building your brand. Hell, maybe you’ll even have time to squeeze in a race or two.
F1 22 will boast realistic visuals, sound, and racing mechanics, complete with interactive pit stops, cinematic Formation Laps and Safety Car Periods, smart weather effects, custom season lengths, and two-player split-screen racing action. In addition, the PC edition of F1 22 will be fully supportive of VR technology, putting players directly in the driver’s seat for a fully immersive racing experience. Build your team, hone your name, race iconic, real-world courses, take the chequered flag, and earn a fortune into the bargain… Just don’t drive your F1 car through Chicago, like Stallone in Driven.
EA’s F1 22 launches July 1 on PlayStation, PC (via Steam, Origin, and EGS), and Xbox. Pre-orders are now live on all platforms.
