Pokemon Unite launched on Nintendo Switch last summer, coming to mobile and massively expanding its potential reach a few months later. Pokemon's first foray into the MOBA world might have had some of its spotlight stolen by the likes of Legends: Arceus since then, but TiMi Studios has been consistently adding and tweaking to the game. Today, it revealed the next playable Pokemon coming to Unite will be Espeon who will join the fight on May 16.
The official reveal was made through Pokemon Unite's Twitter account, revealing the second Eeveelution to be added to the game will be a ranged attacker. Espeon joins Sylveon who became a part of the Unite roster shortly after the game debuted on mobile. Espeon joining Unite's ranks could mean all of the Eeveelutions are eventually playable Pokemon, but that might take a while.

The addition of Espeon to the roster next week will bring the number of playable Pokemon in Unite up to 35, not including the pre-evolved forms you start with at the beginning of a match. Little else about Espeon, such as its move set and whether you'll need to pay for or earn its license has been revealed. Since it's an attacker, Espeon will have less HP than defenders and support Pokemon, but will be able to dole out a lot of damage from a distance via ranged attacks.
A leak last month did show off Espeon's key art and in-game models, revealing prior to today's official reveal that Espeon would be one of the next Pokemon added to Unite.
