When the latest Epic Games Store free games were first announced, the only title mentioned was ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove. However, the Epic Games Store has surprised users with the addition of a horror game to go along with ToeJam & Earl. Darkwood is a top-down survival horror game where players scavenge for resources during the day and repel horrific monstrosities at night. Darkwood reviews were mostly positive at the time of its release, so it should make for a solid horror addition to the EGS free games lineup.
Epic Games Store Makes Huge Quality of Life Changes
Besides adding Darkwood and ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove as the new free games, the Epic Games Store has also clued fans in on what they can expect from next week's offerings. From October 20 to October 27, Epic Games Store users will be able to claim Evoland Legendary Edition and Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition for their collections.
Evoland Legendary Edition is an RPG collection that combines the first two Evoland games into a single package. Evoland earned mixed reviews at the time of its release, but the games were praised for their relatively short length compared to most games in the genre, which can sometimes be over-sized and padded with filler.
