The highly-anticipated Harry Potter reunion special on HBO Max, which honors the film franchise's 20th anniversary, saw the superstar trio of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint come together with their fellow co-stars to reminisce on the good times they had on set. While there were a lot of fun and heartwarming moments, there were also a few unexpected revelations given by the cast that managed to catch fans off-guard.
One such revelation in the Harry Potter reunion special comes from Watson, who shared a rather emotional sit-down with Grint. During their segment, the actors admitted that they both considered leaving the Harry Potter series at one point or another due to their struggles with fame, especially around the time of the fifth film, Order of the Phoenix. That was surprising enough, but as the conversation went on, Grint went on to reveal his true feelings about the cast, saying that they're a family and that they will always be a part of each other's lives.

He then hugged Watson and said "I love you" to her before both of them quickly clarified to the camera that he meant that "as friends" only. In a recent interview with Vogue UK, Watson said she was taken aback by Grint's comments, but in a good way. She explained that he's the type of person to really mean what he says, so it meant a lot to her when he called her family.
She also added that she wasn't expecting that Grint would be so vulnerable and open with his feelings, especially on camera.
