Elixir of Holy Bolts Being Reworked in Diablo 4 Patch 1.4.3
The Patch Notes for Diablo 4 Patch 1.4.3 are now live, and alongside many buffs to underperforming Skills and large changes to certain Legendary Aspects, comes a rework of the popular consumable, Elixir of Holy Bolts.

This change doesn't particularly come as a surprise, as while this Seasonal Elixir is supposed to be powerful, players have been using it to kill Endgame Bosses and enemies in high tiers of The Pit extremely quickly.
- Fixed an issue where Holy Bolts Elixir's damage was scaling unintentionally high when it was triggered from pets such as Necromancer's Minions.
Developer's Note: Holy Bolts Elixir now deals a percentage of your weapon damage rather than percentage of the enemy's health. This change is intended to reduce its effectiveness against the toughest enemies in higher tiers of the Pit, but will still be really valuable for players throughout the whole game. We made this change alongside a reduction to the health of enemies in the Pit so players who are delving deep into the Pit aren't heavily affected.
Once these changes are in place, Necromancer and Druid players will no longer have their Minions or Companions deal incredibly high damage with Holy bolts and the projectiles of the Elixir will no longer be able to kill difficult enemies such as Tormented Bosses nearly instantly. While the Elixir of Holy Bolts won't be as effective in The Pit of Artificers, Blizzard is partially compensating for this rework with several planned adjustments to the health and damage of enemies in The Pit.
