Sorceress Sellen is an NPC in Elden Ring. Should players accept to be her student, Sellen will become a merchant that teaches Spells. Throughout her quest, Tarnished can find her in multiple locations, and she will lead them to her real body when they finally earn her trust. To reach that phase, several tasks must first be completed.
Unlike Ranni the Witch and Fia, the Deathbed Companion, Sellen's questline won't unlock a special ending in Elden Ring. However, it will award players with new Armor sets and some Spells. Getting hold of these rewards won't be easy though, as both the sets and Spells are scattered across the Lands Between.
Elden Ring: How To Get Blaidd's Armor Set
To start Sellen's quest, players should travel to Waypoint Ruins in western Limgrave. There are a lot of poisonous enemies guarding the ruins entrance. After killing them all, players should use the stairs to go down and beat the Mad Pumpkin Head. They'll then be able to light the Site of Lost Grace and open the closed door to be greeted by Sorceress Sellen.
Sellen will first introduce herself as the Graven Witch. Then, she'll ask if players wish to become her apprentice. It's crucial to accept for Sellen's quest to be triggered. The Sorcerer class will benefit from this more than most, as she'll teach them new Spells each time they give her a scroll.
Sorcerer Azur is north of the Hermit Village in Mt. Gelmir. Tarnished will have to get the map fragment for better navigation. Primeval Sorcerer Azur used to be Sellen's tutor and will need to be found in order to continue with her quest.
The old mage can be found just north of the Hermit Village in Mt. Gelmir. To reach it, Tarnished must circle the volcano.
