With Elden Ring's release date right around the corner, FromSoftware has been revealing art for the various classes that players will get to choose from in the game. In some cases, this has included fans' first-ever look at these classes, as is the case with the recently revealed Confessor and Samurai classes that were unveiled by Elden Ring through its social media accounts.
When Elden Ring launches, players will get to choose from 10 classes. Five of these classes were available in the Elden Ring closed network tests, whereas the other five have remained a mystery, until now. With the reveal of the Confessor and Samurai classes in Elden Ring, the only class that has not been shown off is the Wretch class.
Elden Ring PC Requirements Revealed
Along with revealing what the Confessor and Samurai classes will look like in Elden Ring, the developers also provided some background on their lore. The Confessor class in Elden Ring is said to be a church spy that's «adept at covert operations.» The Confessor class is good with a sword as well as «incantations,» indicating that they may be a good choice for Elden Ring players that want a healthy mix of melee and magic abilities.
The Samurai class inElden Ring, meanwhile, is going to be more about physical combat. Hailing from the Land of Reeds, as opposed to Elden Ring's Lands Between world, the Samurai class is «handy with katana and longbows.» So while the Samurai class in Elden Ring may not be the best pick for someone who wants to focus on magic, they should still provide players plenty of close- and long-range options.
