Brazilian Elden Ringplayers might be missing out on some pieces of the game's lore due to apparent localization problems. The massive and complex world of Elden Ring, which George R.R. Martin had a hand in crafting, is one of the game's biggest draws.
Like with most other FromSoftware games, Elden Ring's vast story and lore are presented in a rather vague and unorthodox way. There are a handful of cutscenes that are similar to those found in traditional narrative-driven games, but they are few and far between. Instead, much of the exposition and worldbuilding is carried by a combination of optional character interactions, environmental clues, and item descriptions. When a player finds a unique set of armor, for instance, the description that accompanies it might touch on its original owner or the purpose behind its creation. These tidbits of lore and backstory usually tie into the cutscenes and design of the world, giving them new context. This means that discovering Elden Ring's coolest armor sets and other collectibles can actually have a beneficial effect on how the story is understood, but it also means that important details of the story can go unnoticed.

While some players might simply not read these descriptions or miss the chance to find the items, the game's Portuguese translation seems to be preventing players from seeing the descriptions in the first place.
