A potential best rune farming location was recently discovered in Elden Ring, netting anyone who can tackle it roughly 2.5 million runes per hour. FromSoftware's open-world title debuted to massive critical success, further adding to the already massive hype that translated into Elden Ring reaching Steam's sixth-highest player count of all time.
Of the many changes FromSoftware implemented to its new title, arguably one of the most notable is the addition of a world map. Unlike many other modern open-world titles, however, the map contains relatively little information about the setting in an effort to encourage player exploration throughout the Lands Between. As a result, Elden Ring has sparked a large amount of community engagement as players share their various discoveries and compare notes about certain quest lines, items, and locations. This last is particularly important when it comes to farming Elden Ring's currency, runes.

Recently, YouTuber Ashen One discovered a location where a determined player could potentially farm 2.5 million of them every hour. While it can be accessed early on in Elden Ring right after completing Stormveil Castle, the road getting to it requires several steps involving NPC questlines, PvP, and certain items that teleport the player to late game areas. In the less than 4-minute video, Ashen One demonstrates the entire process and even gives tips on how to further increase the already lucrative rune total.
