Elden Ring players are confused by a wall in Volcano Manor that takes 50 hits to reveal a secret passage.
As you'd expect from a FromSoftware game, Elden Ring is stuffed with secret passages, items, and locations. Some of these are hidden behind Illusory Walls, which require players to hit before they disappear and reveal a secret passage.

These Illusory Walls are already pretty infamous within Elden Ring, but one that has been recently found by players might make even the most hardcore player sweat. As made viral by YouTuber Iron Pineapple, Elden Ring player teristam found a wall in Volcano Manor that takes 50 hits to reveal, leading to a passage back to an earlier room.
Although this might set every Elden Ring player into a frenzy of hitting every wall they come across 50 times to see if they break and hide a copy of Bloodborne 2 in there, the community isn't certain that the wall is supposed to act like that and that it might just be some kind of glitch.
For starters, there's already an Illusory Wall located very close to this wall in Volcano Manor, making it a bit redundant having two in a row. This Illusory Wall is also the only one in the game that doesn't make a noise when it fades away, which makes it seem accidental. As reported by PC Gamer, the wall will also reappear once you've rested at a Site of Grace, unlike actual Illusory Walls.
The wall also doesn't lead to anywhere special, simply taking you back to a path you'd already been on for a merchant that is easily found and is actually right next to another Illusory Wall just ahead of it.
